Hyundai Alcazar Grand Creta Rendered

We informed you earlier that Hyundai is developing the long wheelbase version of the Creta, which will be offered with 7-seat options. In fact, the Hyundai Creta 7-seater SUV has already been spotted multiple times during its test rounds in South Korea. The SUV is likely to be launched in the Indian market in early 2021. Here are new renderings showing the design of the upcoming 7-seater version of the Creta.

Created by Kleber Silva, the 7-seater SUV is called the Hyundai Grand Creta as it is bigger than the 5-seater model. The production version model could carry a different name or Hyundai could also use the Grand Creta name as well. Designed on the existing Creta, the new rendering gets similar front design with subtle changes in the form of more prominent grille with chrome enhancement.

It features the same split headlamps with boomerang shaped split LED daytime running lights and Trio Beam LED headlamps. However, the production model could receive slightly different headlamps. It retains the faux skid plates, fog lamps and turn indicators placed lower on the bumper. The maximum changes are made to the side profile of the car. The lightning arch C-pillar has been removed. It now features a slimmer C-pillar, differently styled alloy wheels and chrome strip running around the windows. The SUV will grow in size and the same is visible in the new rendering.

The rear design of the Hyundai Grand Creta has also been revised. It gets new full LED tail-lights, which are connected by a LED strip. The rear bumper design will also be revised, which will also house a twin exhaust tip and a faux skid plate. The upcoming Hyundai Creta 7-seater will be 30mm longer than the 5-seater model. The wheelbase has also been increased by 20mm, which should help Hyundai to create more space for the third row of seats. The 5-seater SUV has a boot space of 443-litres, which will also be utilised for the third row of seats.

The 7-seater Creta is likely to share the engine options with the 5-seater sibling. It will be offered with 3 engines – a 115PS, 1.5L petrol, a 115bhp, 1.5L turbo-diesel and a 138bhp, 1.4L turbocharged petrol. A six-speed manual gearbox driving the power to the front wheels will come as standard. Other gearbox options will include a CVT with 1.5L petrol, a torque convertor automatic with 1.5L diesel and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic with 1.4L turbocharged petrol.
