The Jeep Grand Compass 7-seater SUV might make its debut in Brazil sometime next year. The new three-row SUV will be based on the Compass facelift that’s due for this year. Though, it will receive minor styling changes and interior updates. The Grand Compass is likely to feature an updated front bumper and headlamps. The front grille, air dam and fog lamp assembly might also be revised for enhancing its aggressive appeal. 

Jeep’s new 7-seater SUV might have a large third window with boxy stance. Design elements such as S-shaped trim, taillamps and rear bumper are likely to be carried over from the updated Compass. The Jeep Grand Compass is reported to offer a luggage space of 700-litres with third and second seats folded. With the third row of seats in position, the SUV will offer a boot capacity of around 110-litres.

Jeep 7-seater SUV In India

The American carmaker has confirmed 3 new SUVs for the Indian market. The lineup includes the updated Compass, a sub-4 meter SUV and a three-row SUV. The new Jeep 7-seater SUV will be launched after the Compass facelift in 2021. The carmaker hasn’t yet confirmed the name and details of the new 7-seater SUV. Though, it might bring in the Brazil-spec Jeep Grand Compass with a different nameplate.

Reports suggest that the Jeep Compass based 7-seater SUV might come with a 2.0L twin-turbo diesel engine producing power worth 200bhp. This will make it more powerful than the Compass 5-seater. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed automatic unit.

In India, the Jeep Grand Compass will be put up against the cars like Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner. Its prices are likely to start from Rs 30.0 lakh (ex-showroom). More details on the new Jeep 7-seater SUV are likely to be revealed in near future. Stay tuned to IndiaCarNews.
