2021 Jeep Compass Might Get Segment’s Largest Infotainment System
Recently, the American carmaker revised the Jeep Compass SUV lineup in the country. The company has also confirmed three new SUVs for the Indian market including the Compass facelift, a new subcompact SUV and a 7-seater premium SUV. The Jeep Compass facelift will hit our shores in early 2021, followed by the other two SUVs.
The updated version of the Compass will witness noticeable changes inside and out. Major update, however, will come in the form of the FCA’s latest UConnect5 infotainment system that’s claimed to be five times faster than the existing unit. First previewed at the 2019 Consumer Electronic Show, the new info system has a large 12.3-inch portrait-style display.
The system comes with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity along with integrated Amazon Alexa support. It will be backed by 6G RAM and 64G of storage. It helps to create a custom page via one-touch access to users’ favorite content or features. In order to integrate such a massive infotainment system, the carmaker will completely revise its dashboard design.
With this update, the 2021 Jeep Compass facelift will have the largest infotainment system in its segment. Talking about the exterior, the SUV might witness changes in its sheet metal along with the new plastic bits. The existing unilateral double-out exhaust unit will be replaced with a hidden exhaust design. Read – New Jeep Compact SUV To Rival Tata Nexon, Suzuki Jimny
