The New 2019 Yamaha FZ V3 will share styling cues with the bigger FZ 25.
It is no secret that Yamaha is working on the new-generation FZ15, which will followed by the new-gen Fazer 150. The company will have to upgrade all its motorcycles to meet the upcoming stricter emission norms and compulsion of ABS in bikes over 150cc. In fact, testing of the new 2019 Yamaha FZ 150 has already been started.
The 2019 Yamaha FZ V3.0 spy shots reveal that the bike shares styling cues with the FZ25. For people not in the know, Yamaha will also launch the ABS equipped version of the FZ25 and Fazer 250 in India in 2019. The new 150cc naked streetfighter will have beefier looks and more modern features like LED headlamps and digital instrument console. The motorcycle will also receive the BSVI compliant 149cc air-cooled engine.

Yamaha is yet to make an official announcement on the launch of the new-gen FZ 150. It is expected that the new model will be launched in the first half of 2019. We will update you on the same as soon as Yamaha announces anything on the same.

With new BSVI compliant engine & ABS as standard, the new Yamaha FZ is expected to receive a major bump in price. We expect the new model to cost somewhere around Rs 90,000 – Rs 1 lakh.

The outgoing model is powered by a 149cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 13.2bhp of power and 12.8Nm of torque. This engine will receive a couple of tweaks to meet the upcoming BSVI emission norms. Moreover, the new model will be more powerful and fuel efficient than the outgoing model. We believe that the new BSVI compliant 149cc engine could produce around 15bhp of power. A 5-speed gearbox driving the power to the rear wheel will come as standard. The new-gen Yamaha FZ is most likely to share styling cues from the bigger FZ25. It is expected to receive a host of changes such as bigger fuel tank section with extensions, LED headlamps, new exhaust muffler and rear-tyre hugger. Like the current model, the new FZ will arrive in two versions – FZ FI and FZ S. While the former will receive single-seat, the FZ S will be offered with a sportier split seat configuration. The tail-unit and turn indicators will be sourced from the current bike. It is also likely to receive digital instrument console, which could be the same unit offered in the bigger FZ25. For suspension duties, the bike will have conventional telescopic forks at the front and monoshock unit at the rear. Braking duties will be carried out by disc brakes at the front and rear. Adding to it, the motorcycle will receive a single-channel ABS system as standard.
