The 2018 Kawasaki Versys 650 receives a few graphic upgrades along with a pack of new features.

India Kawasaki Motor has launched the updated Versys 650 adventure tourer at Rs 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the 2018 Kawasaki Versys 650 have been commenced across the nation. Though, the delivers will begin in coming weeks. The 2018 Kawasaki Versys 650 receives a few graphic upgrades along with a pack of new features. Mechanically, no changes have been made to the bike.  In fact, the green and black scheme also continues on the offer.

Powering the 2018 Kawasaki Versys 650 is the same 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine making 68bhp at 8,500rpm and 64Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. Just so you know, Kawasaki updated the powertrain as per BSIV emission norms earlier this year. Transmission, too, remains unchanged – i.e. 6-speed unit. Suspension setup includes 41 mm Inverted telescopic forks at the front and an offset monoshock setup with remote spring adjustable preload at the rear. The bike continues to derive its braking power from a 300 mm disc and a 250 mm single disc brakes fitted at the front and rear axles respectively. The 2018 Kawasaki Versys 650 also comes with ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). The adventure tourer is assembled with 17-inch alloy wheels. The instrument console of the bike now gets a gear position indicator. Talking about the future plans, the Japanese bikemaker is also working on the all-new Versys 650. This new model will share its platform with the new Ninja 650. In terms of performance and off-road capabilities, the bike’s new model will be better than the current model.
