Ford’s global SUV – Endeavour (aka Everest) is all set for a mid-life update that will see a release in the USA by the end of this year. The testing of the SUV has already begun, and recently a test mule has been spotted near Ford’s research and engineering facility in Dearborn, Michigan. India launch details of the new Ford Endeavour are still under the wraps; though, it is likely to hit our shores towards the end of 2018 or early 2019.
The fresh spy pictures reveal that the 2018 Ford Endeavour (2018 Ford Everest) will see minor aesthetic and feature upgrades over the existing model. The spotted model was equipped with the new six-double spoke alloy wheels. Inside, the 2018 model year of the SUV is likely to get a pack of new features including engine start-stop button and engine auto start-stop function enhancing fuel efficiency of the vehicle. Globally, the Ford Endeavour (Everest) is available with two diesel powertrain options – a 2.2-litre TDCI and a 3.2-litre TDCi. The former delivers 163bhp with 385Nm, and the latter one offers 198bhp and 470Nm of torque. Rumor also has it that Ford might offer a new 2.0-litre TDCi diesel and 2.2L TDCi Bi-turbo diesel engines on the SUV. The former will produce a maximum power of 178bhp and 420Nm of torque, and the latter will churn out 210bhp with 500Nm of torque. The 2018 model year of the SUV will also get a new 10-speed automatic gearbox.
