2017 Nissan Terrano facelift has finally gone on sale in India priced from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 14.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). While the petrol variant is priced at Rs 9.99 lakh, the diesel models cost from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 14.20 lakh (all ex-showroom, Delhi). Priced in this range, the SUV will continue compete with Hyundai Creta, Mahindra Scorpio, Renault Duster and Honda BR-V. Featuring a few cosmetic updates and several new features, the new Nissan Terrano 2017 facelift looks quite refreshing than before. However, the compact SUV retains the old engine setup – 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder petrol and 1.5-litre dCi diesel.  Transmission options include the same the conventional 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 6-speed Easy-R unit.

While exterior updates are subtle, the cabin receives comprehensive changes and new connectivity features. Now, the compact SUV is available with a new 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and voice recognition system, white backlight illumination for power window switches, new seat fabric, a driver armrest, steering wheel with integrated control buttons and cruise control. The car also gets new dual-tone dashboard, door pads and seats. New Nissan Terrano 2017 Specifications

The engine mechanism of the facelifted Terrano remains intact with the petrol and diesel engines from the previous model. The 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder petrol motor continues to develop 102.5bhp of power and 145Nm of torque. Diesel range in the line-up derives its power from the 1.5-litre unit, which is tuned for generating two states – 83.8bhp and 108.5bhp with 200Nm and 248Nm respectively. The new 6-speed Eary-R AMT unit is available with both the engines, while the two manuals in five and six-speed units are offered on petrol and diesel engines respectively.

2017 Nissan Terrano Mileage

Since the engines have been retained from the previous model, the SUV delivers the same mileage figures. As mentioned in the beginning, the exterior changes are minimal. The compact SUV comes with LED headlamps and electronically foldable ORVMs with integrated turn indicators. Nissan also introduced a new Sandstone Brown shade on the vehicle along with the regular 6 colours – Pearl White, Sapphire Black, Bronze Grey, Fire Red, Sterling Grey and Blade Silver. Features such front grille, front and rear bumpers, alloy wheels, tail-lamps and other styling elements have been carried over from the old model.

Comprehensive updates have been made inside the cabin. The 2017 Nissan Terrano comes with a host of new features such as a new 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with voice recognition and navigation system. The steering wheels now features integrated control buttons. The driver armrest adds more to its comfort level.

Features such as new seat fabric, white backlight illumination for the power window switches and dual-tone dashboard enhance its premium appearance. The door pads and seats are now available in dual sporty shades. The hill climb assist and cruise control are new safety features on the car. It sits on the same 2,673mm long wheelbase and stands on 205mm of ground clearance making it perfect for Indian roads. The fuel tank capacity is 50-litres and it has a turning radius of 5.2m.
