2017 Nissan Terrano facelift will see major cosmetic updates on both exterior and interior.
Mechanically, the 2017 Nissan Terrano facelift will remain unchanged.
The new Nissan Terrano facelift is set for its official debut on March 27, 2017 at an event in Delhi. Nissan released the AMT equipped Terrano last year and is now gearing up to roll-out a mid-life facelift by the end of this month. It is expected that new Nissan Terrano 2017 will receive subtle changes to the exterior and interior. Engine set up will be retained from the current model, with the 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder petrol and 1.5-litre dCi oil burner powering the carline. Transmission choices will remain unchanged too with the 6-speed Easy-R unit offered with both the engines and two manuals.
On the outside, Terrano facelift will receive new elements, transforming the front look. A revised grille in front, slightly reshaped headlamps and chrome laden bumper enhance the visual appearance. Side profile will most likely sport new alloy wheels and rear will get restyled tail-lamps and redesigned bumper. Updates to the interior will primarily include additional tech including a touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and navigation system. On the safety front, Terrano will likely get additional passenger side airbag as standard provisions on the XE and XL trims. Read – Nissan Leaf Coming To India: Confirmed
With these changes, Terrano facelift is expected to undergo slight bump in term of pricing. The current model is retailed at Rs 9.99 lakh for the entry level variant and the top-spec trim is priced at Rs 13.45 lakh. Priced in this range, the SUV will compete with Hyundai Creta, Mahindra Scorpio, Renault Duster and Honda BR-V in the segment.
Nissan will launch the mid-life facelift of Terrano on March 27, 2017 at an event organized in the national capital, Delhi.
Subtle exterior changes, new in-cabin equipment and additional safety features indicate slight increase in pricing. With these changes, the Terrano facelift is estimated to fall in the range of Rs 11 lakh to Rs 14.50 lakh. Check Out – Nissan Kicks Compact SUV – Picture Gallery
Mechanically, it will remain intact with the petrol and diesel engines from the current model powering the facelift version. The 1.6-litre, 4-cylnder petrol engine making 102.5bhp against 145Nm of torque will power the petrol variants. Diesel range in the line-up will source power from the 1.5-litre oil burner tuned to put out power in two states-83.8bhp and 108.5bhp with 200Nm and 248Nm respectively. The new 6-speed Eary-R AMT unit will be offered with both the engines along with two manuals in five and six-speed units on petrol and diesel engines respectively.
Since the engines will be retained from the pre-facelift model, the SUV is likely to return same mileage with the petrol variant returning 13.06kmpl and diesel manual trim rated at 19.87kmpl as against the 19.64kmpl claimed by the diesel AMT trim. Wheelbase will be 2,673mm long and 205mm of ground clearance makes it perfect for Indian roads. The fuel tank capacity will be 50-litres and it will have turning radius of 5.2 m.
2017 Nissan Terrano facelift will receive minor cosmetic updates inside and out. However, it will retain the current engine lineup.
