Renault India has added Captur to its SUV line-up which only had Duster. Renault Captur

-Renault’s premium SUV, Captur competes primarily with Hyundai Creta and Mahindra XUV500 in the segment.

-In terms of pricing, Captur falls between Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 13.88 lakh(ex-showroom, Delhi).

-The pricing for the RXE variant is introductory across India, as per Renault’s claim, it gets as many as 50 premium features on the base trim.

-Also, the top-of-the line Platine variant can be had only with the diesel engine.

Mahindra XUV500

-Mahindra XUV500 is available only in diesel version.

Renault Captur-

-Renault Captur sources power from the same 1.5L petrol and 1.5L K9K oil burner used in its smaller sibling Duster.

-Transmission duties are handled by a five-speed manual and a six-speed manual gearbox on petrol and diesel models respectively.

-Renault may introduce automatic and AWD variants at a later stage.

Mahindra XUV500-

-The Mahindra XUV500 carline comes only in diesel engine. It derives power from Mahndra’s 140bhp, 2.2-litre mHawk engine.

-Transmission choices includea 6-peed MT and 6-speed AT.
