Maruti Futuro-e Coupe SUV Rendered Based On Teaser
Maruti Suzuki recently confirmed that it will unveil the all-new Futuro-e SUV-Coupe concept at the Auto Expo 2020. The biennial event is scheduled to happen from 5th to 12th February. The carmaker says that the Maruti Futuro-e is a design study that previews the brand’s global design language for its popular utility vehicle segment.
While the official unveiling of the Maruti Futuro-e SUV concept is just a week away, a digital rendering gives us a fair idea about its possible design. Based on the teaser image, the rendering shows the sharply designed C-shaped headlamps that resemble to the Hyundai Nexo and the Mercedes EQC.
The slopping roofline, squarish pronounced wheel arches with alloy wheels look and the rakish back glass enhance its coupe-ish appearance. The bulbous squarish fenders seem inspired by the Lamborghini Huracan. At the rear, the Maruti Futuro-e SUV concept features stylish taillamps flowing towards the rear haunches on the side.
The production version of the Maruti Futuro-e SUV concept is likely to go on sale by 2021. More details on the concept will be revealed at the biennial event. We will bring you live updates straight from the unveiling event.
Rumour has it that Maruti Suzuki might also showcase the Jimny and Vitara SUVs at the Auto Expo 2020. The hybrid version of the Maruti Swift is likely to join the bandwagon at the event. The 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza facelift is also among the much-awaited unveilings from the Indo-Japanese carmaker.
The facelifted version of the subcompact SUV will receive a new 150bhp, 1.5L K15B SHVS petrol engine replacing the existing BS4 1.3L diesel motor. The 2020 Maruti Ignis facelift might also be put up on display at the Auto Expo 2020. Recently, the carmaker rolled out the BS6-complain Maruti Alto CNG at a starting price of Rs 4.32 lakh (ex-showroom).
