New Ford EcoSport Revealed in a New Video

The new EcoSport will receive the all-new Dragon series petrol engine – a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder.

Ford’s highly popular compact SUV – EcoSport is all set for a mid-life facelift update during this year’s festive season. While the launch is just a month away, a brief walkaround video of the vehicle has emerged on the web. The video reveals the exterior design details and gives us a glimpse of its interior.

The spotted semi-camouflaged version of the new EcoSports features a new hexagonal grille, revised bumper, larger headlamps and triangular fog lamps at the front fascia. Walkaround Video

Interior of the compact SUV will also be revised, though the details are scanty yet. The car will get the SYNC 3 infotainment with a new floating display. With respect to engine, the new EcoSport will receive the all-new Dragon series petrol unit – a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder. This new motor is estimated to deliver power worth 120bhp.

The diesel version of the facelifted EcoSport will continue to use the 1.5-litre TDCi engine making 99bhp against 205Nm of torque. Transmission options on offer will include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed powershift dual-clutch.

Besides the EcoSport facelift, the American carmaker is also working on a premium hatchback that will challenge Hyundai Elite i20 and Maruti Baleno in India. The company will also introduce the updated version of the Figo hatchback and Aspire sedan. Just so you know, Ford revealed the performance-inspired EcoSport ST-Line at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany.
