To commemorate the 20 lakh sales milestone of the Sport commuter, TVS Motor Company has rolled the new Silver Alloy Edition of the bike. Priced at Rs 38,961 (ex-showroom, Madhya Pradesh), the TVS Sport Silver Alloy Edition will be available in two colour schemes – Volcano Red and Black Silver.
Save for the new silver alloys, no other changes have made to the TVS Sport Silver Alloy Edition. Similar to the regular model, it sources power from the 100cc Dura-Life, air-cooled engine matched to a 4-speed gearbox. It makes 7.3bhp at 7500rpm and 7.5Nm of peak torque at 7500rpm. Mileage figure of the bike stands at 95kmpl. The TVS Sport features the brand’s Econometer with an Eco and Power mode. For damping duties, the bike gets telescopic forks up front and a twin shock absorbers rear suspension setup. Braking power comes from the front and rear drum brakes. Some of its key features include sporty body graphics, large headlamp, all gear electric start, aluminium grab rail and pass by switch. The commuter comes with five years of warranty. The TVS Sport takes on the likes of Bajaj Platina, Honda Dream Series and Hero HF Dawn. In financial year 2018, TVS Motor Company sold a total of 916,811 motorcycles with a market share of 7.27 percent which is up from the 6.97 percent in fiscal year 2017.
