Innova’s Big Brother Toyota Vellfire Revealed in Clear Pictures

We informed you earlier that Toyota will launch the Vellfire luxurious MPV and the Fortuner TRD Sportivo in India before Diwali 2019. The company has also showcased these 2 models to its dealer partners. A new set of Toyota Vellfire images by Elite Car Club Kolkata reveals the exterior and interior highlights. The model was imported here to be shown to dealership executives.

The Toyota Vellfire is based on the Alphard MPV, which was showcased at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. Unlike Alphard’s traditional design, the Vellfire has relatively sporty design and lots of the chrome to give it a premium feel. Up front is a chromed grille, split LED headlamps, lowered bumper and circular fog lamps. It gets large side glass area, which offers airy feel inside the cabin.

The cabin offers luxurious feel and is packed with several high-end comfort and convenience features. Some of the features include twin sunroofs, rear-seat entertainment package, wireless charger, blind spot monitor, ambient mood lighting, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, blind spot monitor and a 360 degree camera. It offers 7 airbags and 10.2-inch screen for the rear passengers. The vehicle gets captain seats for the second row, which can be reclined for higher comfort.

The second row captain seats come with several adjustment options. It gets darker interior scheme with wood treatment on the dashboard. The front and rear passengers will have independent controls for the sunroof. In fact, the third row of seats offers sufficient legroom and headroom space. The India-spec Toyota Vellfire is expected to be powered by a 2.5-litre petrol hybrid engine. This hybrid powertrain churns out 178bhp of power and 235Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an e-CVT unit. The company could also offer the AWD version. Likely to be priced around Rs 80 lakh, the upcoming Toyota Vellfire will challenge the Mercedes-Benz V-Class.
