Mercedes-Benz, the German luxury carmaker has finally introduced the luxurious people-mover, the V-Class in the Indian market. The 2019 Mercedes V-Class is priced at Rs 68.40 lakh (ex-showroom). This luxurious people-mover is imported from Mercedes’ Victoria plant in Spain.
The V-Class is claimed to offer a roomy and practical cabin. In international markets, the luxurious MPV is available in 3 lengths – compact (4,895 mm), long (5,140 mm) and extra-long (5,370 mm). In India, the company has introduced the long and extra-long wheelbase versions. The Exclusive long version offers seat for 6 adults, while the Expression extra-long is a 7-seater model. The six-seater model gets two armchair-style seats rest on flexible mounts. These seats can be swivelled around to face the third row. The vehicle gets sliding doors for the rear occupants. The luxurious people-mover is available in 4 metallic exterior colour options – Silver, Blue, Black and White.
The Exclusive six-seat model is equipped with several high-end features including LED lights, ambient lighting, sports suspension, Mercedes COMAND infotainment system and larger 17-inch alloys. The Expression variant rides on 16-inch alloy wheels. It also comes with openable rear window, which makes easier to access the luggage area. The MPV comes with Nappa leather upholstery and a folable and movable centre table at the rear. It is fitted to a 640W 15-speaker Burmester surround sound system. The 2019 Mercedes-Benz V-Class is powered by a 2.1-litre diesel engine that is capable of producing 163bhp of power and 380Nm of torque. Power will be transmitted to the rear wheels via a 7G-Tronic automatic gearbox.
