The 4-door sedan delivers a claimed range of 502km under the U.S EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) cycle, thus making it the most fuel efficient HFCV. The Mirai was first launched in Japan, followed by U.S, UK and other European markets. Now, one of its units has arrived in India.

Toyota Mirai Spied In India

For power, the Toyota Mirai uses the Toyota fuel cell system (TFCS) that consists of fuel cell and hybrid technology along with the company’s new FC stack and high-pressure hydrogen tanks. Visually, the Toyota Mirai appears quite premium. Some of its key elements include a bold grille with three-dimensional structure, wide bumper, LED headlamps, LED side turn signal lamp, blacked out A, B and C-pillars, 17-inch aluminum wheels and triangular taillamps with a light bar.

The Toyota Mirai HFCV has sophisticated interior design loaded with high-tech features. The list includes a 4.2-inch HD TFT liquid crystal display for the speedometer and multi information display, a floating touchscreen infotainment system, 3-spoke multi function steering wheel, 11-speaker JBL sound system, a raked centre console with silver trim and a piano black fascia and more. On the safety front, the Toyota Mirai gets a pre-collision system, blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert, land departure alert, drive-start control, automatic high beam, adaptive cruise control, vehicle stability control and traction control, ABS with EBD, hill start assist control, emergency brake signal, parking assist sensor system, rear view monitor system, Isofix child seat and automatic anti-glare inner mirror.
