The second-generation Hyundai Creta was unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo. It is based on the modified K2 platform, which also underpins the Kia Seltos, Verna and the Elantra. The SUV looks similar to the second-generation ix25, which was launched in China in late 2019. The new Creta compete against the likes of Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks, Renault Captur and the entry and mid-level variants of the MG Hector and the Tata Harrier.

Similar to the previous model, the new Creta is equipped with host of high-end comfort and convenience features, including segment-first. Here is a list of top 10 features of the new Hyundai Creta 2020 –

Smart Panoramic Sunroof – It will be a smart panoramic sunroof, which can be controlled through voice commands.

Blue Link Connected Car Tech with Voice Commands – It gets the advanced Blue Link with over 50 connected car applications. This system also supports voice recognition services that can be activated with a command ‘Hello Blue Link’.

10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system – The new Creta gets a portrait 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, voice command and other functions.

3 Driving Modes and Digital Instrument Console – It offers 3 drive modes – Eco, Comfort and Sports. The SUV is fitted with a 7-inch full-color display in the instrument console. The color of display changes on switching between the different driving modes.

Ventilated Front seats – Similar to the previous model, the new Creta gets ventilated front seats.

Touch-enabled Air purifier – One can use the air purifier via a touchscreen infotainment system.

Paddle Shifters and one-touch cruise control – The new Creta’s 1.4-litre version gets a 7-speed DCT along with paddle shifters, which enhances its overall sporty character. Adding to it, the cruise control can be used on a single touch on cruise button.

1.5L Petrol with IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission) – The top-spec variants of the new Creta gets the IVT, which is very similar to a CVT. It performs continuous shifts to provide superior performance over automatic transmissions.

Remote Start (Manual Transmission) – The manual trasmission version of the New Hyundai Creta is fitted with the Blue Link function. The engine and HVAC can be start with the help of remote function.

The new Hyundai Creta is available in 3 engine options – a 115bhp, 1.5L petrol with a CVT, a 115bhp, 1.5-litre diesel with a torque convertor and a 140bhp, 1.4-litre turbo petrol with a 7-speed DCT. A six-speed manual gearbox driving the power to the front wheels is available as standard.
