Tata Harrier Automatic To Launch By February 2020
We have reported earlier that Tata Motors will introduce automatic version of its highly popular Harrier SUV. According to a fresh media report, the Tata Harrier automatic might hit showrooms by February, 2020. The new automatic variant could be showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo alongside the Harrier 7-seater model.
For power, the Tata Harrier automatic will use the same 2.0L Kryotec diesel engine that’s good for 140PS and 350Nm of torque. The oil burner will be paired to a Hyundai-sourced 6-speed torque convertor gearbox. Currently, the compact SUV lineup comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox only.
The new automatic variant of the Tata Harrier will be around Rs 1 lakh more expensive than its manual counterparts. Currently, the SUV comes in five variants – XE, XM, XT and XZ – priced at Rs 12.99 lakh, Rs 14.25 lakh, Rs 15.45 lakh and Rs 16.75 lakh respectively. There is a dual-tone version ZX (DT) that costs Rs 16.95 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
The carmaker recently rolled out Tata Harrier Dark Edition with 14 design enhancements. The special edition is available in two trims – XT and XZ – priced at Rs 15.55 lakh and Rs 16.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.
Last month, we have seen a new Tata Harrier XZ+ variant with a panoramic sunroof and larger 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Rumour has it the SUV’s new variant could also get a tyre pressure monitoring system.
