Tata Buzzard H7X SUV Interior Teased; Debut On March 5

Tata H7X SUV’s interior is inspired with the H5X SUV concept’s interior.

Tata Motors is all set to unveil 4 new models – Altroz hatchback, H7X 7-seater SUV, Vision Hornbill micro SUV and 45X electric – at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. The company is continuously revealing teaser images of the Altroz hatchback and H7X SUV. Ahead of the debut on March 5, 2019, Tata has released a new teaser image of the H7X 7-seater SUV.

Likely to be called the Tata Buzzard, the 7-seater SUV will be based on the new OMEGA ARC that also underpins the Harrier SUV. The teaser reveals that the Buzzard SUV’s cabin is heavily inspired with the Harrier SUV. The company will unveil the pre-production concept of the SUV, while the launch is likely to take place in the end of this year or early 2020.

The Tata H7X 7-seater SUV also comes with Jaguar Land Rover inspired gear knob, with electronic parking brake. The design of the dashboard seems largely identical to the H5X concept that debuted at the 2018 Auto Expo. The Tata Buzzard SUV’s styling is based on the new IMPACT DESIGN 2.0 philosophy. Based on the Land Rover sourced D8 platform, the SUV is expected to offer enhanced handling and off-road capabilities.

The new H7X is expected to be around 62mm longer than the regular 5-seater Harrier. It will come with a more conventional design rather than the curvish design of the 5-seater model. Some of the design highlights will include a larger windscreen, LED daytime running lights, slimmer 3D Humanity grille, tri-arrow fog lamps and pronounced wheel arches. Instead of the sloping roof, the H7X could get the conventional SUV-ish straight roof.

Inside the cabin, the SUV will come with a large freestanding touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. The SUV could also come with 4-wheel drive system. The Tata Buzzard 7-seater SUV will be powered by a 2.0-litre KRYOTEC diesel engine that is expected to produce around 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. Transmission options are likely to include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor. The H7X SUV is also expected to get multi drive modes with Terrain response system and all independent suspension from the Land Rover.
