The Tata 45X concept based hatchback will go on sale in mid-2019.

The long-awaited Tata 45X concept based premium hatchback will be launched in mid-2019. Likely to be called Tata Aquilla, the hatchback will directly rival the Maruti Baleno and the Hyundai Elite i20. The model has been spotted multiple times, and the latest leaked images reveal the cabin design and components.

The Tata 45X’s interior looks premium and feature-loaded. it comes with a curvish dashboard with a floating-type touchscreen infotainment system. This system will be compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It comes with all-black interior scheme with piano black and silver accents. We believe that the company will also offer the dual-tone scheme as well in some variants. It comes with analogue instrument console.

Controls for core functions of the infotainment system are positioned below the central AC. It comes with a sporty flat-bottom steering wheel. The Tata 45X will be the brand’s first model to be based on the new Alpha modular platform. It will be the second model to feature the new IMPACT 2.0 DESIGN philosophy. The hatchback was debuted at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo in concept avatar. The production model looks closer to the concept, featuring sloping roof, wrap-around tail-lights, sleeker headlamps and prominent belt line.

Tata 45X Interior Leaked Touchscreen

The upcoming Tata 45X is likely to share the engine specs from the Nexon SUV, which means a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. Previous reports claim that the new model could debut the new 1.2-litre petrol engine with a mild-hybrid system. Transmission options are likely to include a six-speed manual and a dual-clutch automatic.
