2017 Tokyo Motor Show has witnessed the debut of some of the most stunning and futuristic cars and concepts. One of them that attracted much attention from visitors is the Suzuki Xbee micro SUV concept. The Japanese carmaker has showcased three different models under the ‘Xbee’ range – Hustler, Xbee Outdoor Adventure and Xbee Street Adventure. These concepts are based on the Suzuki Hustler. All three Suzuki Xbee concepts carry tall-boy design similar to the WagonR hatchback. Though, the designs of these models are completely different from the existing WagonR. Just so you know, Maruti Suzuki is working on the new-generation WagonR that might have its India debut at the 2018 Auto Expo in February. It’s too early to comment on the new-gen WagonR, but the Xbee concept-inspired model can be an ideal successor. It will offer the same level of practicality for which the current-gen WagonR is known for.

On the exterior, the Suzuki Xbee features signature badge on the grille and just below it is the ‘Xbee’ moniker. The mini SUV has unique yellow paint scheme that complements with other design elements. The front bumper has greyish inserts, while the ORVMs and roof are painted in black shade. Proportionally, the concept measures 3,670 mm in length, 1,670mm in width and 1,705mm in height. Its wheelbase stands at 2,435mm. The black theme will also be seen inside the cabin. Powering the Suzuki Xbee micro SUV is a 1.0-litre K10C petrol engine benefited with SHVS mild-hybrid system. The mini crossover has 4WD (four-wheel-drive) system, and offers two driving mode – Sport and Snow. Features such as Hill descent control and grip control are also on offer. The Suzuki Xbee Outdoor Adventure concept is said to be designed for youngsters who love adventurous outings and camping. With a purpose of enhancing your adventure trip experience, Suzuki has equipped this model with additional comfort and utility features. This concept features unique colour scheme including a combination of black, grey and white with wood door panels. Inside, the mini crossover has wood panels on the dashboard. Talking about the Suzuki Xbee Street Adventure, this concept has yellow highlight on door panels, alloy wheels and the lower lip of the front bumper. It features white roof and ORMs. Inside the cabin, the mini SUV features grey seats with yellow inserts and grey/yellow carpets. You can also notice yellow elements in the centre console. There is ‘Xbee’ moniker on the dashboard and door panels.
