The next 3-4 months will surely be exciting for the two-wheeler enthusiasts as several new product launches have been planned across different segments. Here’s a brief on the new bikes and scooters, which are scheduled to arrive during 2021 festive season.
Upcoming New Bikes
New Royal Enfield Classic 350
The new-generation Royal Enfield Classic 350 will finally see a release on 27th August 2021. The bike will witness some significant changes including the new ‘J’ platform, a more refined engine and Tipper navigation system. The new model will feature the Meteor’s 349cc, fuel injected engine that’s good for 20.2bhp and 27Nm of torque. Some noticeable design changes will also be made to the bike. The 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 will be priced slightly premium over the current model.
Updated TVS Apache RR 310
TVS Motor Company has confirmed that it will launch a new motorcycle on 30th August 2021. The launch event will take place at Madras Motor Race Track (MMRT) in Chennai. It’s most likely the updated TVS Apache RR 310 with a few mechanical and design changes. The bike is likely to come with the preload adjustability on front USD forks and slightly more powerful engine. The 2021 TVS Apache RR 310 will come with the 313cc, single-cylinder, reverse-inclined DOHC engine that could be tuned for generating higher power output.
Aprillia RS660
Aprilla RS660 is ready to hit showrooms in coming days. It will be brought to India via CBU route and is estimated to cost around Rs 13.39 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike will be offered in three colour options – Lava Red, Apex Black and Acid Gold. Powering the new RS660 will be a 659cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine making power worth 101PS and 67Nm of torque. It will have a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch and bi-directional quickshifter.
New Bajaj Pulsar 250
Bajaj Auto has confirmed that it will introduce the “biggest Plusar’ ever made in the month of November. Reports suggest that it will be the new Bajaj Pulsar 250 that has been spotted testing multiple times. For power, the bike will use a new 220cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled FI engine making 24bhp and 20Nm. It could be the first Bajaj non NS/LS Pulsar to feature monoshock rear suspension. Some of its key highlights will include Dominar 250-inspired LED headlamp, new upswept side mounted exhaust, a fully digital console with smartphone connectivity and more.

Hero Electric Scooter
Hero MotoCorp will soon roll out its first electric scooter in the country. Prior to its official arrival, the company released the first image of the vehicle painted in dual-tone White and Black colour scheme. Compared to the existing e-scooters, the upcoming Hero e-scooter appears bigger. Rumour has that Hero might introduce the rebadged Gogoro VIVA electric scooter that features a 3kW electric motor and offers a range of 85km in a full charge. For people not in the know, Hero MotoCorp recently entered into a strategic partnership with Gogoro – the Taiwan based EV maker.
BMW C 400 GT
BMW Motorrad will launch its first maxi scooter in India in coming weeks. Called the BMW C 400 GT, the scooter is estimated to be priced around Rs 10 lakh. The new BMW scooter will source its power from a 350cc, single-cylinder engine featuring the new ‘e-gas’ technology. The motor will be paired to a CVT automatic gearbox. It produces a peak power of 33.5bhp and 35Nm of torque. The C 400 GT has an electronic speed limit of 139kmph.
