Bajaj Auto is ready to introduce the all-new Pulsar platform in November 2021. Speaking to a media publication, Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director Bajaj Auto, has revealed the new architecture will debut with the biggest Pulsar ever made by the company. While he didn’t reveal the name and details of the upcoming product, it’s most likely to be the new 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 250. The model has been caught testing multiple times and we have got hands on some interesting details.
Talking about its engine, the 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 250 will be packed with a new 220cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine benefited with fuel injection technology. The motor will produce power close to 24bhp and 20Nm of torque. It will be more efficient and refined and linked to a more advanced gearbox. Rumour also has it that the bikemaker might use the Dominar 250’s 27bhp engine.
For the first time, Bajaj might offer the monoshock rear suspension unit on a non NS//LS Pulsar. The bike will feature the conventional telescopic fork at the front. The braking setup will be carried forward from the Pulsar NS200 – i.e. front and rear disc brakes along with the standard dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system).
The spy images suggest that the new Bajaj Pulsar 250 will feature Dominar 250-inspired LED headlamp and a newly-designed upswept side mounted exhaust. Design elements such as split pillion grab rails, split seats, alloy wheels and rear cowl will be borrowed from Pulsar NS200. If reports are to be believed, the new Bajaj Pulsar 250 could be made available in three variants – naked, semi-faired and fully faired.
