New RE Classic 350 Launch Date Is August 27

The long-awaited new-gen Royal Enfield Classic 350 will finally be launched in the Indian market on August 27, 2021. The new model has already been spotted multiple times. The motorcycle has recently been snapped fully undisguised during its official TVC shoot in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

The new RE Classic 350 is the second model to be based on the brand’s new architecture, which underpins the Meteor 350. Called the “J” architecture, the new platform will be used to develop Royal Enfield’s future 350cc motorcycles. The company claims that this twin downtube frame improves the overall ride quality and characteristics of the Meteor 350 cruiser.

The 2021 RE Classic 350 will be powered by a 349cc, fuel injected engine that churns out a maximum power output of 20.2bhp at 6,100rpm and a peak torque of 27NM at 4,000rpm. This engine will be paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The higher variant will get disc brakes with dual-channel ABS as standard. The entry-level variant could feature disc at the front and drum at the rear.

The new Classic 350 will get 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel with spoked rims. The top-spec Signals Edition could get alloy wheels. The bike will be equipped with new instrument console with a separate digital readout with fuel gauge. Similar to the Meteor 350, the new Classic could also get Tripper Navigation System.

In terms of styling, the motorcycle retains the original Classic design with retro-styled circular headlamps with chrome bezels, chrome-plated exhaust, round-shaped rearview mirrors, a teardrop shaped fuel tank and prominent front and rear fenders. The motorcycle will get new tail-lamp and indicators, and new seat with better cushioning.
