TVS Motor Company had planned to launch the 2021 TVS Apache RR 310 in the first week of April 2021. However, the launch was delayed due to devastating second COVID-19 wave. The company has sent a media invite for a launch of new model on August 30 at Madras Motor Race Track (MMRT) in Chennai. The company will launch the new Apache RR 310 at the MMRT.
The 2021 TVS Apache RR 310 is likely to receive some changes, which should improve the overall ride quality of the motorcycle. Details about the possible changes are yet to be revealed. It is expected that the new motorcycle could receive a preload adjustability on front USD forks, as the similar updates are added to the revised Apache RTR 200 4V. This update would be helpful for riders who like to adjust the suspension setup accordingly to their riding comfort and style. The levers could be made span-adjustable.
Another update could be given to the engine of the 2021 TVS Apache RR 310. The motorcycle is powered by a 313cc, reverse-inclined, single-cylinder, DOHC engine, which is likely to be tuned to offer higher power output. In the current form, this powertrain offers 34PS of power and 27.3Nm of torque.
The motorcycle is available with 4 riding modes, and TVS could improve the electronic rider aids. The current ride modes of Urban and Rain do not have an accurate engine mapping. It doesn’t offer good low-end torque to the motor, which is required for city commutes. The riding modes update should also improve the overall fuel efficiency of the motorcycle.
The new Apache RR 310 will also receive new tyres. The government has announced a new rule to ban all imports of tyres from foreign countries. The outgoing model features the Michelin Road 5 tyres. The updated model is most likely to receive TVS Eurogrip ProTorq Extreme tyres, which is company testing for a long time.
