Skoda Karoq SUV – 1 Variant, 6 Colours, Petrol-Automatic Combo
Skoda Karoq SUV is all set to launch digitally post lockdown. Online bookings have already been commenced at a token sum of Rs 50,000. Ahead of its official price announcement, the carmaker has revealed variant, colour and engine details of the vehicle.
The all-new Skoda Karoq will be offered in a single, fully-loaded variant packed with a 1.5L, 4-cylinder TSI petrol engine and a 7-speed DSG gearbox. The gasoline unit is good enough for 148bhp and 250Nm of torque.
The carmaker claims that the Karoq SUV can do 0 to 100kmph in 9 seconds and attain a top speed of 202kmph. The new SUV from Skoda will come in 6 colour schemes – Lava Blue, Candy White, Magic Black, Quartz Grey, Brilliant Silver, Magic Black and Magnetic Brown. The overall length, width and height of the vehicle stand at 4382mm, 1814mm and 1605mm respectively. It sits on a 2638mm long wheelbase and has a ground clearance of 200mm. The Skoda Karoq achieved 5 star safety rating in Euro NCAP. It managed to score 93% in adult occupant protection, 79% in child occupant protection and 78% in pedestrian protection.
The India-spec version will be equipped with 9 airbags, electronic stability control, ParkTronic system, tyre pressure monitoring system, ABS (anti-lock braking system), traction control, brake assist, EBD (electronic brake force distribution), hill start assist and more. Based on the MQB platform, the Karoq SUV will sport all-LED headlamps, fog lamps and taillamps and 18-inch alloy wheels. Some of its key features will include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, virtual cockpit, leather upholstery, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, ambient lighting, wireless smartphone charging pad, heated steering wheel and more.
