Skoda Karoq Official Bookings Open; Launch In April 2020

Official bookings Skoda Karoq SUV have been commenced in the country. Buyers can pre-book the vehicle by paying an initial sum of Rs 50,000 across all authorized dealerships and on the Skoda Auto India website.

The carmaker has confirmed that the deliveries will be made on priority basis and begin from 6th May, 2020. Prices of the Karoq will be announced in month of April.

There will be no diesel engine on offer. Unlike the global model that comes with 4X4 drivetrain, the India-spec version comes with FWD (front-wheel-drive) system.

Measuring 4.3m in length, the Skoda Karoq shares its underpinning with the Volkswagen T-Roc SUV that’s slated to go on sale on 18th March, 2020. Visually, it appears like a scaled–down version of the Kodiaq 7-seater SUV. The all-new Karoq has virtual cockpit with soft-touch materials. It comes equipped with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SmartLink connectivity. Some of its key features include dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, 12-way electrically adjustable driver seat with memory function, stone beige leather seats.

In India, the Skoda Karoq will come through CBU (Completely Built Up) route. Its prices are likely to start from Rs 18 lakh for the base model and go up to Rs 25 lakh for the fully-loaded variant.
