Over 1600 Maruti Suzuki Cars Delivered Post Lockdown

Maruti Suzuki India has delivered over 1600 units post lockdown across the nation. The cars that have been handed over to customers were booked before the lockdown and their deliveries were scheduled for Navratra, Akshaya Tritiya and Gudi Padwa. Speaking to a media publication, Shashank Srivastava, Maruti Suzuki Executive Director Marketing and Sales, revealed that the deliveries were made without any physical contacts between buyers and dealership executives. The carmaker has also resumed its operations at its Manesar plant in Haryana. The operations have been recommenced on a single shift basis with capacity of up to 75% employees.

2020 Maruti Dzire Features

In coming months, the Indo-Japanese carmaker will bring in the updated Swift hatchback. The model will receive subtle updates inside and out along with a new petrol engine. The 2020 Maruti Suzuki Swift will come with a 1.2L Dualjet, Dual VVT petrol engine boosted with SHVS mild hybrid technology. The new gasoline unit, which will replace the 1.2L K12B motor, will be more powerful and fuel efficient than its replacement.

Maruti Suzuki’s Dualjet petrol engine was recently introduced on the Dzire facelift. It pushes out a claimed power of 90PS and 113Nm of torque. The hatchback’s updated model will continue to come with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Similar to the new Dzire, the 2020 Maruti Swift is likely to deliver mileage of 23.26kmpl and 24.14kmpl with manual and automatic gearbox respectively.
