Premium Look
The new Fortuner is based on the company’s reinforced ladder-frame chassis, which is claimed to be more robust and safer than the previous model. The vehicle is around 90mm longer than the outgoing model, which contributes to its spacious cabin. The front fascia of the SUV looks aggressive, thanks to its new slimmer twin slat front grille, new bumper and prominent bonnet. Other design elements include dual projector headlamps with LED elements and daytime running lights and chromed fog lamps. The flared wheel arches have been fitted to 18-inch alloy wheels shod with all terrain tyres. At the back, the SUV gets wraparound windscreen, new taillamps with LED inserts and modified bumpers. On sides, the SUV gets blackened pillars while the roof mounted spoiler with sharp finn gives it a much needed aggressive look.
Dimensionally, the new Fortuner is 4,795mm in length, 1,855mm in width and 1,835mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,745mm. The ground clearance of 225mm allows the new Fortuner to conquer tough terrains. It offers a fuel tank capacity of 80-litres.
