Revised Chassis
The new generation Fortuner will be based on the revised ladder frame chassis that also underpins the Toyota Innova Crysta. This ladder frame chassis has been reinforced for improved driveability. Toyota has reinforced its side rails and suspension towers and added stronger elements, resulting into a stiffer chassis. It also gets large diameter dampers, which further enhances its overall performance. The new Fortuner also gets slightly softer suspensions that improve its overall ride quality in the city roads. However, the larger dampers allow the SUV to tackle rugged road conditions as well.
