Hyundai has recently launched the new generation version of the popular Creta SUV in India. Available in 5 trim levels and a total of 14 variants, the new Hyundai Creta 2020 is priced between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 17.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The SUV was unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo in the presence of Shah Rukh Khan. In fact, the SRK is the first owner of the new-gen Creta SUV.

The new-gen Hyundai Creta is based on the modified version of the K2 platform, which also underpins the Kia Seltos, Verna and the Elantra. Styling of the SUV is inspired by the second-gen ix25, which was introduced in China in late 2019. The new model directly rivals the Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks and the entry and mid-level variants of the MG Hector and Tata Harrier. Also See – New Creta Vs Seltos

The new Hyundai Creta 2020 is equipped with host of comfort and convenience features, including segment-first. Some of the features include smart panoramic sunroof with voice commands, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, electronic parking brake with auto hold, BlueLink connected car tech with voice commands, ventilated front seats, touch-enabled air purifier, paddle shifters and one-touch cruise control and remote start (Manual Transmission). 2020 Hyundai Creta Interior

The new Creta 2020 is available in 3 BS6-compliant engines with multiple gearbox options. The engine options include a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel and a 1.4-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol. The naturally-aspirated petrol engine produces 113bhp and 144Nm, the oil burner is good for 113bhp and 250Nm. The turbo unit belts out 138bhp and 244Nm of torque.

Transmission options include a 6-speed manual gearbox with 1.5L petrol and diesel, an IVT or CVT with 1.5L petrol, a 6-speed torque convertor automatic with 1.5L diesel and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox with 1.4L turbo-petrol.
