Hyundai India recently took the wraps off the second-generation Creta SUV at the Auto Expo 2020. First previewed as the new iX25 in China last year, the all-new Creta comes with significant design changes, updated interior and new BS6-compliant powertrains. Compared to the current generation, the new Hyundai Creta 2020 carries sharper design elements and more aggressive stance (especially at the front end).

The brand’s signature cascading grille is the major attraction at the front end. The split headlamp arrangement with LED DRLs and an LED strip at lower portion, newly-designed fog lamps and bumper with scuff plate at the base further enhance its new look. The rear section has been revised with new split LED taillamps connected via an appliqué and slightly lower set number plate. The new Hyundai Creta 2020 is slightly bigger than the current model. In fact, its wheelbase has also been increased. The carmaker has confirmed that the new Creta will feature the brand’s BlueLink connected car technology and a panoramic sunroof. The new Hyundai Creta 2020 will share its engines and gearboxes with its cousin – Kia Seltos. The SUV’s new-generation model is likely to come with a 115bhp, 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol engine with a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic gearbox and a 115bhp turbo diesel motor with a 6-speed manual and a torque converter automatic gearbox. The carmaker might also offer the 140bhp, 1.4L turbo petrol engine with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox on the new Creta lineup.
