New Aprilia SXR160, SXR 125 Launch, Booking Details Revealed
Piaggio’s sub-brand, Aprilia has unveiled the all-new Cross Max concept at the ongoing Auto Expo 2020. The production version of the Aprilia Cross Max will be named SXR and will be made available in 125cc and 160cc variants. Official bookings for the new Aprilia SXR 160 and SXR 125 will be commenced in August and its launch will happen a month after (i.e. September, 2020).
The Aprilia SXR 160 and SXR125 have been designed and developed in Italy. In terms of price and positioning, the new scooters will sit between the Vespa and the Aprilia SR range that cost Rs 93,000 to Rs 1.3 lakh and Rs 86,000 to Rs 1.14 lakh (all, ex-showroom) respectively.
Upfront, the scooter features twin LED headlights with daytime position lamps. It also gets a dark windscreen, a raised handle bar and LED tail lights. There is a digital instrument cluster with mileage indicator and smartphone connectivity. Features such as split glove box with USB charger and lit-up underseat storage are also on offer.
Riding the Aprilia SXR 160 and SXR125 are 12-inch, 5-spoke alloy wheels. For braking purpose, the scooters have front disc brake with ABS (anti-lock braking system). Engine setup of the SXR 160 will include the BS6-compliant 160cc and 125cc motors.
