Ford India has sent us an invite scheduled for 4th October, 2018. While the carmaker hasn’t yet revealed the product name, it is likely to be the updated version of the Aspire sedan. For the 2018 model year, the new Ford Aspire facelift will witness minor design and feature changes along with a new petrol powertrain.
In the compact sedan space, the new Ford Aspire 2018 facelift will continue to take on the Honda Amaze and Maruti Suzuki Dzire. As far as pricing is concerned, the refreshed model is likely to see a minor price hike. Its prices are estimated to fall in the range of Rs 5.75 lakh – Rs 8.80 lakh (ex-showroom). As mentioned above, the new Ford Aspire 2018 facelift will feature a new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine that also does duty in the Ford Freestyle. This gasoline motor generates a peak power of 95bhp with 115Nm of torque. The diesel model will retain the existing 1.5-litre, four-cylinder TDCi motor that’s good for 99bhp and 215Nm of torque. Major design updates will be made at the front end of the vehicle. The new Ford Aspire 2018 facelift will get a new grille with chrome finish, revised headlamps and bumper and fog lamps with chrome inserts. The side profile will remain unchanged. Inside the cabin, the compact sedan will feature a new dashboard that resemblance more like the FreeStyle. The SYNC infotainment system will be replaced by the SYNC3 touchscreen unit. Features such as dual-tone (Beige & Black) interior theme, seat upholstery and instrument console will be carried over from the current model.
