Maruti XL6 Crossover – What’s New In The New 6-seater Ertiga

Maruti XL6 Details

Maruti Suzuki has launched the Ertiga based crossover-MPV, called the XL6 in the country. The new Maruti Suzuki XL6 is available in 2 trim levels – Zeta and Alpha – and in total of 4 variants. It is available in price range of Rs 9.79 lakh – Rs 11.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new model is positioned above the Ertiga and the S-Cross.

6-seater Crossover

The Maruti XL6 is basically the six-seater version of the popular Ertiga MPV. This model comes with captain seats for the second row and bench-type third row seat for 2 adults. The 6-seater cross has dedicated AC vents for all 3 rows. The second row captain seats come with reclining function for improved comfort level.

Aggressive Design

The Ertiga based Maruti XL6 comes with significant changes and fresh design. It comes with more upright front and a flatter hood design. The Cross gets newly styled trapezoidal grille with dual-chrome strips at the centre. There is a chunky front bumper with newly designed elements running below the headlamps.  Other design highlights include larger fog lamps, a wider air inlet and a faux brushed aluminum skid plate.

BSVI engine

The Maruti XL6 is powered by a BSVI compliant version of the new 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine that produces 104bhp of power and 138Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque convertor. The XL6 is not available with the diesel engine option.

NEXA Only

The new Maruti XL6 crossover is sold through the NEXA premium sales and service network. Available in top-end versions only, the new XL6 6-seater MPV is available in 6 paint schemes – Pearl Brave Khaki, Pearl Arctic White, Prime Auburn Red, Metallic Premium Silver, Metallic Magma Grey and Nexa Blue. Bigger than the Ertiga

In terms of proportions, the new Maruti XL6 is bigger than the regular Ertiga. It measures 4,445mm in length, 1,775mm in width and 1,700mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,740mm. It comes with a boot space of 209-litres with all seats in position. The boot space can be further increased to 550-litres and 692-litres by folding the second and third row of seats.
