Mahindra XUV400 7-Seater SUV Might Look Like This

A few days back, we have reported that Mahindra & Mahindra will bring in the 7-seater version of its popular XUV300 subcompact SUV. Rumour has it the carmaker’s new fully-fledged SUV could be named – Mahindra XUV400. Codenamed Mahindra S204, the SUV will make its debut at the 2020 Auto Expo.

We have seen the camouflaged prototype of the Mahindra XUV400, though a latest rendering based on the spy pictures gives us a clear idea of its exterior design. The rendering shows that the Mahindra XUV400 will carry an aggressive front fascia featuring LED projector headlamps with DRLs (daytime running lights) and a larger mesh grille.

Mahindra XUV300 Electric SUV

The thick chrome bar on the upper and lower portion of the grille, chrome surrounding around the headlamp and flared wheel arches add more to its sporty look. The bold shoulder lines elevating towards the rear end make it look more like the Mahindra XUV500. Compared to the XUV300, the Mahindra XUV400 will surely be bigger and more spacious. With stretched dimensions, the new SUV will ensure more legroom for the third row seat passengers.  

2019 Mahindra XUV300 Prices

Most of the features will be carried over from the Mahindra XUV300. Though, it might get some additional comfort, connectivity and safety fitments. The new 7-seater SUV from Mahindra is likely to get a touchscreen infotainment system, internet connectivity, voice assist, headrests for all seats, height adjustable driver seats, rear AC vents, multiple airbags and more. Besides features, the Mahindra XUV400 might share its powertrains with the XUV300. That means, it could be offered with the 1.2L, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol and 1.5L turbocharged diesel engines pushing out power worth 110PS with 200Nm and 115PS with 300Nm respectively. While both motors are BS4-complint, the XUV400 could get their BS6-ready version.
