We have been constantly informing about all the updates on the Thar-based lifestyle vehicle – Mahindra Roxor – which is specifically developed for American markets. This off-road side-by-side vehicle is directly positioned against the likes of Polaris Ranger and Honda Pioneer in the US market. This Thar-Based lifestyle vehicle receives an overwhelming response from off-road enthusiasts in America and has been racking up good numbers for the India’s leading UV maker.

The Roxor has been tested by several American off-road experts, and most of the reviewers praised this lifestyle off-roader for its off-roading capabilities. TFLoffroad recently pitted the Mahindra Roxor against the popular & capable Polaris Ranger and the Honda Pioneer to find out whether Roxor can beat these popular models.

In the video, you can see that the reviewer took all 3 SUVs through various obstacles. For the first test, all 3 off-road side-by-side vehicles were tested through hydroline mud-pick with a bit of ice cover. Here Honda Pioneer and Polaris Ranger clearly have an advantage over Mahindra Roxor. The Roxor life-style vehicle is bigger and is almost double the weight to competition, and has the least amount of ground clearance. Due to its low-positioned bumper, the Mahindra Roxor struggles to cross the mud-pick.

The next is the articulation test, all three vehicles were tested on some degree ramp. In this, Honda Pioneer clearly wins thanks to its intelligent all-wheel-drive system. Mahindra Roxor stands second, while Polaris Ranger is at 3rd position due to its huge ground clearance. The Mahindra Roxor is powered by a 2.5-litre inline-4 turbodiesel engine that is capable of producing 62bhp of power and 195Nm of torque. Thanks to the high torque, smaller tyres and the drive-by-wire setup, it is drive Mahindra Roxor to downhill.
