2019 Maruti WagonR Is Ready For Launch; Spotted Testing

The new-generation Maruti WagonR will go on sale in the first quarter of 2019.

The final production version of the new-generation Maruti WagonR hatchback has been caught on camera during its test rounds in India. Slated to launch in the first quarter of 2019, the new model will be made available with petrol and CNG fuel guise. Production of the new Maruti WagonR 2019 will begin in the coming weeks at the carmaker’s Manesar based plant.

Compared to the JDM model, the India-spec new Maruti WagonR 2019 will look different. Visually, the new Maruti WagonR 2019 will be longer than the outgoing model. The rear window will also be stretched to make more cabin space. Round the back, the hatchback will get slightly bigger pillar-mounted tail lamps giving it crossover-ish appearance. The new Maruti WagonR 2019 will meet the new BNVSAP (Bharat New Vehicle Safety Assessment Program) crash test standards. As mentioned above, the new Maruti WagonR 2019 will use the same 1.0, 3-cylinder petrol engine with manual and AMT gearbox options. Though, this motor might be more refined than the existing unit. A CNG option will also be available.
