Launched – BS6 Bajaj Pulsar NS160, NS200, 180F, 220F, RS200
Bajaj Auto has updated its Pulsar range to meet the BS6 (Bharat Stage VI) emission standards that came into force from 1st April, 2020. The BS6 Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 and NS200 have been priced at Rs 1.04 lakh and Rs 1.25 lakh respectively, thus making them Rs 94,195 and Rs 10,675 more expensive than their BS4 models. The BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 180F and 220F are made available at Rs 1.07 lakh and Rs 1.17 lakh respectively. While the updated Pulsar 180F gets expensive by Rs 11,000, the Pulsar 220F has witnessed a price hike of Rs 8,960. The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 BS6 comes with a price tag of Rs 1.44 lakh, thus making it around Rs 3,033 costlier than its BS4 model. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
Talking about the engines, the updated Bajaj Pulsar NS160 uses the BS6-compliant 160.3cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, twin-spark engine with fuel injection technology. While its BS4 version was good enough for 15.3bhp and 14.6Nm, the BS6 model delivers power worth 17bhp with 14.6Nm. Read – Bajaj Avenger 700 In The Works?
Powering the new Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is the BS6-ready, fuel injected motor producing a top power of 24.5PS with 18.5Nm of torque. The updated model has gained a few kilos. The BS6-compliant Pulsar 180F comes equipped with the fuel injected 178cc, air-cooled engine that’s good enough for 17bhp and 14.2Nm.
The BS6-compliant Bajaj Pulsar 220F sources its power from a FI 220cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine generating a peak power of 20.1bhp. The bike has also gets a larger 280mm front disc brake. The updated Pulsar RS200 has been equipped with the BS6 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid/cooled DTS-I engine benefited with fuel injection technology. Now, it makes a top power of 24.5PS against a peak torque of 18.7Nm. The BS6 version of the fully-faired Pulsar is around 2kg heavier than its BS4 model.
