BS6 Bajaj Avenger Cruiser 220 has been launched in India at Rs 1.16 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This makes it around Rs 11,584 more expensive than its BS4 version. The bike’s updated model uses the BS6-compliant version of the 220cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, twin-spark engine. The BS6 Avenger Cruiser 220 returns a claimed power of 18.7bhp at 8,500rpm and 17.5Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. Compared to its BS4 version, the BS6-compliant engine is slightly less powerful. The torque figure, however, remains unchanged. For performing transmission duties, the cruiser has a 5-speed gearbox.

No other changes have been made to the cruiser. The BS6 Bajaj Avenger 220 comes in two colour options – Moon White and Auburn Black. Upfront, the bike carries a tall windscreen and a halogen headlamp. Features such as LED DRLs, a large insignia, body graphics, fully digital display, telltale indicators, blacked engine, rubberized rear grab rail and black alloys are carried over from the BS4 model. The suspension setup of the updated model include the same telescopic front forks with double anti-friction brush and five-step adjustable twin springs suspension unit at the rear. The braking duties are done by a 280mm disc and a 130mm drum brakes fitted at the front and rear axles respectively. The cruiser gets a single channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) as standard fitment.
