Kia QYi Subcompact SUV Launch Details Confirmed
Kia Motors India has confirmed that it will foray into sub-4 meter SUV segment in late 2020. Codenamed Kia QYi, the subcompact SUV will take head-to-head against the cars like Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport and Tata Nexon. We have already seen multiple spy pictures of the vehicle revealing its minor design details. The Kia QYi subcompact SUV will share its platform, features and engines with the Hyundai Venue. That means, it will come with two petrol and a diesel powertrain that will be upgraded to meet the upcoming BS6 norms.
The petrol model will get the 1.2L naturally aspirated and 1.0L turbocharged motors generating power worth 82bhp with 114Nm and 118bhp with 172Nm respectively. The diesel version will use a 1.4L motor that’s good for 89bhp and 220Nm of torque. Read – Kia Seltos To Get Expensive Soon

Similar to the Seltos, the Kia QYi subcompact SUV is likely to be packed with several comfort goodies and latest connectivity features. It will get Kia UVO connected technology powered by an eSIM, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, a built-in PM 2.5 filter, a sunroof, climate control with a remote operation and many more.
