Jeep Wrangler Rubicon’s First Batch Sold Out In Less Than 2 Weeks

The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon SUV, which was launched on 4th March, has been sold out in less than two weeks of its arrival in the country. The carmaker has confirmed that the first batch of the rugged SUV was sold out in record time and is ready to deliver. Imported via CBU (Completely Built Up) route, the Wrangler Rubicon has been priced at Rs 68.94 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Rubicon is the most rugged and more off-road capable variant of the Wrangler SUV. The SUV sources its power from a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine generating a maximum power of 265bhp and a peak torque of 400Nm. It comes with an 8-speed automatic gearbox delivering power to all four wheels through the RockTrac 4×4 all-wheel-drive (AWD) system.

While its gearbox enables the vehicle to climb the steepest of inclines, the turbocharger provides more power during off-roading. Compared to the standard model, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon has 2mm higher ground clearance measuring 217mm. Interior of the Wrangler Rubicon is packed with lots of goodies an 8.4-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and voice command, a digital instrument console, an Alpine sound system, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, leather seats and leather wrapped dashboard.

With respect to safety, the rugged SUV offers multiple airbags, cruise control, anti-lock braking system, electronic stability control, park assist, electronic roll mitigation, tyre pressure monitoring system, hill descent control, trailer sway control, hill start assist and rear back-up camera.
