Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV300 Waiting Period in June 2019
Hyundai Venue commands a waiting period of around 2 months.
The recently launched Hyundai Venue compact SUV has been receiving excellent response from car buyers. The company had delivered 7,409 units of the Venue to dealerships last month. In fact, bookings for the SUV have already crossed 20,000. The SUV currently commands a waiting period of over 2 months in some cities.
On being contacted to some dealerships in Noida, it is stated that the Hyundai Venue currently has a waiting period of around 8-9 weeks. However, waiting period is less in some cities like 1 month in Hyderabad, less than 3 weeks in Gurgaon and others. The Venue 1.0L with Dual-Clutch Transmission is the most popular variant, followed by diesel variant. The less powerful 1.2L Venue is now gaining huge interest from buyers.
Its direct rival – Mahindra XUV300 is also coming with a waiting period of up to 6 weeks. The waiting period in North India is higher for the XUV300 than South. The SUV has a waiting period of around 6 weeks in Delhi. The company will soon introduce the AMT version of the XUV300, which could further increase the demand.
The Mahindra XUV300 is currently the third best-selling model in its category. However, Tata Nexon is also doing pretty well and the difference in sales number is marginal. The Hyundai Venue is available in 3 engine options – a 82bhp, 1.2L petrol, a 118bhp, 1.0L turbocharged petrol and a 89bhp, 1.4-litre diesel. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual (1.2L Petrol Only), a 6-speed manual (1.0L Petrol & 1.4L Diesel) and a 7-speed DCT (1.0L petrol). The Mahindra XUV300 is available in 2 engine options – a 110bhp, 1.2L petrol and a 115bhp, 1.5-litre diesel. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox.
