Hyundai Might Again Launch New Creta Using Digital Platform – Report
The new-gen Hyundai Creta launch was overshadowed by the Coronavirus Pandemic.
It is a well-known fact that social gatherings have been barred due to Coronavirus Pandemic. Digital launches are new normal as most of the car brands are now opting digital platforms to introduce their new products. On May 26, Skoda will launch 3 new cars – the Karoq SUV, Rapid 1.0 TSI and the Superb facelift. The Volkswagen T-ROC was also launched online.
A new report from ET Auto claims that Hyundai could go for a second launch of its popular Creta SUV using the digital platform. The SUV was launched few days before the national lockdown and the official debut was overshadowed by the COVID-19 Pandemic. The company might go for a second launch to attract new eyeballs for the new-gen Hyundai Creta, which already received over 21K bookings so far.
The re-introduction during digital platform could generate some freshness in the potential Creta customers. The company has launched the new Verna mid-sized sedan digitally on May 20. Hyundai is also readying the facelift version of the Tucson SUV, which was unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo. The new Hyundai Tucson facelift is also expected to be launched on digital platform.
As a remider, the new Hyundai Creta is available in the price range of Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 17.20 lakh. The SUV is offered with 3 engine options – a 113bhp, 1.5L petrol, a 113bhp, 1.5L diesel and a 138bhp, 1.4L turbocharged petrol. All three engines are available with automatic gearbox option.
Automakers and their dealer partners have also started investing in digital retailing tools, and home delivery options for their customers. Hyundai, Mahindra, Honda, Maruti, Renault and other automakers have already introduced their digital retailing tools.
Not just Hyundai, its Korean sibling Kia Motors will also launch the much-awaited Sonet compact SUV on digital platform. Mahindra will also introduce the new-gen Thar lifestyle SUV through virtual platform. MG will launch the Hector Plus and the Gloster SUVs digitally, while Tata Motors will introduce the Gravitas 7-seater SUV using digital platform.
