Hyundai i30 N Fastback To Unveil At Auto Expo 2020

2020 Auto Expo is all set to begin on 5th February and all participants are ready to put their best foot forward. Hyundai India will have some exciting products to showcase including the new-generation Creta SUV, Tucson facelift, Verna facelift and the Grand i10 Nios 1.0L turbo. Alongside, the carmaker will also display the Hyundai i30 N Fastback previewing capabilities of the brand.

The Hyundai i30 N Fastback is the second high-performance model from the South Korean carmaker for the European market, the first model was the Hyundai i30 N hatchback. The performance-oriented coupe and hot-hatch are based on the standard i30 hatchback, which is retailed in several global markets.

Powering the Hyundai i30 N Fastback is the same 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that does duty in the i30 N hot-hatch. The motor is capable of producing a peak power of 275bhp against 378Nm of torque. The Fastback delivers 353Nm of torque without the overboost function.  The Fastback also comes with an electronically limited slip differential that ensures great traction, while reducing wheel slip and understeering in specific conditions. The coupe offers five driving modes – Eco, Normal, Sport, Sport N and N Custom. The variable exhaust valve system allows the driver to select different exhaust sounds depending on the drive mode.

The Hyundai i30 N Fastback runs on 19-inch Pirelli P-Zero high-performance Hyundai N tyres. Features such electronic controlled suspension, four variable dampers mounted on the independent four wheels and floating brake calipers further enhance its performance. The Fastback has been equipped with an 8-inch capacitive LCD touchscreen with integrated rear view camera, Bluetooth connectivity and navigation system. It also supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The performance coupe meets the European safety standards with features Hyundai SmartSense active safety and driving assistance technologies including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (standard), Driver Attention Warning (standard), Lane Keeping Assist (standard), High Beam Assist (standard) and Intelligent Speed Limit Warning.
