Honda Clarity
The first electric model in the list of new Honda Cars at Auto Expo 2018 is the Honda Clarity fuel cell. The company claims that the Clarity fuel cell is the pinnacle of Honda’s electrified vehicle technology and highlight the commitment, recently announced company’s President & Representative Director Takahiro Hachigo, that two thirds of global sales will feature an electrified powertrain by 2030.
Honda Clarity Fuel Cell is claimed to be Honda’s most advanced zero emissions vehicle and is the first fuel cell sedan to house the entire stack underneath the bonnet, making the cabin spacious enough to carry five occupants.
Honda Sports EV Concept
Next in our list of new electric Honda cars at Auto Expo 2018 is the company’s one of the best, Honda Sports EV concept. The Sports EV concept is a two-seater sportscar, and was showcased at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show. This retro-looking all-electric sportscar features the same EV platform that also underpins the Urban EV concept. It is expected that Honda could introduce its future EV in India based on this concept.
The Honda Sports EV concept features a coupe-like profile, featuring long hood and sloping roof. It comes with round all-LED headlamps and square-shaped tail-lights. Design inspiration comes from Honda’s old-school S600 and S800 coupes. This model shares AI with the Urban EV concept, but sportier stance, coupe-like design and lowered ground clearance hints at a sportier electric car.
