The first model in our list of new Honda Cars at Auto Expo 2018 is the new generation Honda Amaze subcompact sedan. This is the major attraction at the company’s pavilion at the Delhi Motor Show. It is based on the modified version of the existing Brio platform, which is claimed to be lighter, stiffer and safer. In terms of styling, the new Amaze looks much better and premium than the previous model.
Design inspiration comes from Honda’s Exciting H design philosophy, and it looks like a mini Honda City. Several of the design highlights seems similar to the new generation Accord hybrid. It features a solid wing front grille with sharper headlamps with LED daytime running lights, wider bumper and sculpted bonnet. Other design changes include newly designed alloy wheels, LED tail-lamps and completely revamped rear profile. The vehicle gets new tail-lamps with LED bits, bumper, new tail-gate design and roof-spoiler.
The new model is wider than the outgoing model, which translates into more shoulder space for the rear occupants. The cabin also receives major changes in the form of better quality material and fit and finish. The seats are completely new and come with more cushion. It is equipped with a new 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with android auto, apple carplay and mirrorlink. The company claims that the new model has more sound-deadening materials, which will offer better NVH levels (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) levels. Read More
