Next in the list of new Honda Cars at Auto Expo 2018 is the new generation Honda CRV. The popular model from Honda’s stable lost sheen in the segment owing to lack of diesel engine, high pricing and fierce competition. However, the company has now rectified all the issues and set to launch the much-improved, bigger and diesel-equipped CRV. As demand for SUVs in on ride, Honda has showcased the CR-V with seven-seat layout at the Auto Expo 2018.

Besides diesel engine, the new generation CRV comes with Honda’s new design language, a more spacious and better quality interior along with a pack of new comfort and safety features. In terms of dimensions, the new CRV is 4,596mm in length, 1,855mm in width and 1,679mm in height. The wheelbase and ground clearance stands at 2,660mm and 198mm. The wheelbase of the SUV has been raised by 41mm, which allows Honda to create extra space inside the cabin to accommodate third row of seat. With all 7-seat in position, the CR-V offers a boot space of 150-litres, which can be stretched by up to 967-litres by folding third row and second row.

The new gen CRV looks bolder and more premium than the current one. It features sharper front-end design that has wing-shaped LED DRLs, wide and muscular fenders and sportier headlamps. This model also has Honda’s automatic shutter grille technology that reduces its aerodynamic drag. Inside the cabin, the SUV gets loads of features including a new 7-inch touchscreen display audio interface with Android operating system and Honda satellite-linked navigation system. It also gets 8-way power adjustment for driver seat, front seat with 4-way power adjustment, heated mirrors, dual-zone HVAC, remote engine start, etc.

The Honda CRV 7-seater model is powered by a 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel engine that is tuned to offer 158bhp of power and 350Nm of torque. On the other hand, the petrol version will get a 2.4-litre i-VTEC engine that produces 153.86bhp of power and 190Nm of torque.
