Twenty Two Motors, the home-grown two-wheeler manufacturer, has introduced its first electric scooter – Flow – at the Auto Expo 2018. Priced at Rs 74,740 (ex-showroom), the Twenty Two Flow will be launched in phased manner across the country. While the official bookings have been commenced, its launch will happen by mid 2018. This Smart scooter was first previewed in its concept avatar in November, 2017.
The Twenty Two Flow electric scooter makes use of a DC motor powered by a lithium-ion battery, which offers a claimed range of 80km on a single charge. One can expand its range by using an optional dual battery. The torque figure of the motor stands at 90Nm. The battery takes five hours to get fully charged. Besides an efficient powertrain, the scooter comes with a host of advanced connectivity features. It has Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Geo-Fencing features. With cloud server connectivity, this Smart electric vehicle ensures user to keep an eye on systems performance even from a long distance. For safety purpose, the Twenty Two Flow electric scooter gets dual disc brakes, cruise control and electric braking system (EBS). It also comes with an optional wireless charging for the battery. With light fibre body, the scooter weighs 85kg.
Twenty Two Motors is also offering a warranty of 50,000km on the Flow electric scooter. Production of the vehicle will take place at the company’s Bhiwadi based facility in Haryana. With the Flow scooter, the company aims to achieve sales target of 2 lakh units in the next three years.
