The 14th edition of biennial event is scheduled to commence in the second week of February, and two-wheeler makers are doing final preparations to make it a remarkable one. The 2018 Auto Expo will host a range of new two-wheelers, which will be launched in the next 2 years. Besides motorcycles, scooters will also play an important role at this event. Yamaha Aerox 155
One of the most exciting models in our list of new scooters at Auto Expo 2018 is the new Yamaha Aerox 155. Besides this scooter, the company will also showcase the new-generation R15 V3.0 and 2018 R3 ABS model. Just to inform you, Yamaha had launched the Aerox 155 scooter as NVX 155 in Malayasia in 2016. If media reports are to be believed, Japanese automaker will launch this scooter in February, while the debut could take place at the 2018 Auto Expo.
Powering the Aerox scooter is a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which is boosted with Yamaha’s Blue Core Technology and fuel injection system. This engine is capable of producing 14.8bhp of power at 8,000rpm and 14.4Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. Power will be transmitted to the rear wheel via a V-belt automatic gearbox. In terms of proportions, the scooter is 1,990mm in length, 700mm in width and 1,125mm in height annd has a wheelbase of 1,350mm. Seat height stands at 790mm, while the scooter has a ground clearance of 142mm. This scooter also features ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System).
