Maruti Suzuki India is gearing up to launch the highly anticipated Ciaz sedan in the country. The company is constantly teasing the Ciaz sedan with some really unique and never-seen-before promotional strategies, and recently, Ranveer Singh was appointed as the brand ambassador. The series of revelation of these events created some doubt in our mind, as we tried to reach out Maruti Suzuki dealers across the country. Interestingly, the dealers have revealed that the official bookings for the sedan will commence from September 3rd. On being contacted, Maruti Suzuki dealers confirmed that the official bookings for the Ciaz sedan will commence from September 3rd. The dealers chose the auspicious day of “Ganesh Chaturthi” to start taking pre-orders for the sedan, which is likely to go on sale by September end. Moreover, the dealers also quoted that the initial response for the sedan is pretty good and is expected to go better once the official bookings will commence.
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz mid-sized saloon would be offered in both petrol and diesel fuel options in three trims- VXi/VDi, VXi+/VDi+, and ZXi/ZDi. While the oil burner is the tried & trusted 1.3-litre multi-jet motor producing 90PS, the gasoline version gets the 1.4-litre K Series engine that develops 95PS. Both the engines would be paired with a manual transmission gearbox while the petrol model would also get an optional automatic variant.
The SX4 replacement is larger, spacious and more premium, and is equipped with several advanced features. The vehicle features projector headlamps, chrome grille, rear defogger, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, alloy wheels, touchscreen audio system, steering mounted controls, keyless entry, ABS and airbags.
