Hyundai Motor India has already commenced bookings for the BS6-compliant Venue subcompact SUV, Elite i20 and Grand i10 Nios hatchbacks. All three updated models will see a release before the implementation of the BS6 (Bharat Stage VI) emission norms (i.e. 1st April, 2020). We have brought you the updated price list of the BS6 Hyundai Venue and BS6 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios. Now, it’s the BS6 Hyundai i20 that rivals the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Tata Altroz.

The BS6 Hyundai i20 petrol has witnessed a price hike of Rs 15,000. Additionally, the carmaker has revised the variant list of the hatchback lineup. The entry-level Era and high-end Sportz+ CVT and Asta (O) CVT variants have been removed from the model lineup. Now, the Magna+ is the base model priced at Rs 6.49 lakh.

2018 Hyundai Elite i20 CVT Automatic

While the Sport+ petrol variant has been offered at Rs 7.36 lakh, the Sportz+ Dual Tone comes with a price tag of Rs 7.66 lakh. The fully-loaded Asta (O) CVT petrol model costs Rs 8.30 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. The BS6-compliant diesel version of the premium hatchback is likely to come with new-generation i20 that’s due for June, 2020.

With the variant revision, the new base version of the i20 (Magna) will be more feature-loaded. Currently, it comes equipped with electrically adjustable ORVM, rear AC vents, cooled glovebox, rear power windows, front tweeters, audio player with front and rear speakers, Aux and USB ports, body-coloured door mirrors, wheel covers for steel wheels and more.

2018 Hyundai Elite i20 Features

Powering the BS6 Hyundai i20 petrol is the 1.2L engine that does duty in the Grand i10 Nios. In its BS4 form, it delivers a peak power of 83bhp and a maximum torque of 114Nm. The official power and torque figures of the BS6-ready motor are yet to be revealed by the carmaker.
